Savoy Legacy 4.0

Last time: Yvette mysteriously turned white, Madeline and Tyler became grew old gracefully and Colette entered her teenage years.

My name is Colette Savoy. I enjoy bowling, playing chess, my nintendo DS and chasing boys.

I'm not particularly good at any of these things, though.

While playing games well takes practice, chasing boys only requires a little cash. And by a little, I mean 5,000 simoleons.

But it was worth it. That's how I met Russell.

We had loads of stuff in common.

I really mean it. It wasn't like my mom and my 20 "uncles".

It was more like my grandparents and their everlasting devotion which often excluded all others.

That is, until the grim reaper came with his lei and promise of a great big Twikki Island in the sky. Grandma Madeline was happy to go, even though she left Grandpa Tyler behind.

Mom took out her depression by hitting the clubs.

Mrs. Crumplebotton hit Russell for her own reasons, & they have always been a great mystery of life, Mrs. Crumplebottom's reasons. Whatever. I think she keeps a brick in her bag, though. I had to remove all of Russell's clothing to tend to his bruises. It was a hardship.

Gramps took out his depression by going to join Madeline in the great afterlife.

In retrospect I may seem flippant, but I was crushed.

Though the knowledge that maybe some day I could also share in the happy afterlife of umbrella drinks and dancing girls was a salve to my mortal wounds.

& Gramps looked so happy, peering into the other side where Gram waited for him.

They had a pretty sweet life together.

With just mom and I, the house was kind of lonely, so we adopted a beautiful white wolf named Rose.

Grandma had always had a strange affinity with the white wolves in town, and so Rose was a pleasant reminder of her.

As usual my birthdays were a quiet affair, usually attended by mom, Rose, and a different man who was not my father, every time.

Before long I was an adult. As much as I wanted to move out, and in spite of the fact that I thought mom would actually welcome the hours alone with her many beaux, there was too much comfort and convenience to be had by staying home.

I was more than ready to start my life with Russell.

He was thrilled by the size of the rock I gave him.

& I was delighted to get pregnant right away. My dreams were quite simple, I wanted lots of sex and a family, and I didn't think these things should be mutually exclusive. I knew that Russell was a little hesitant on the family front, but sex led to babies, especially when you were tricksy and forgot your birth control pill.

We were married in a hasty ceremony of matching pajamas.

Mom prepared for her role as grandmother. She was actually quite excited by the prospect.

& it was into this family circle that we welcomed our son, Louis Savoy. He was the first boy born in the family for generations, and Russell felt a little bit proud that his seed was masculine.

The first year of Louis' life was uncomplicated and pleasant.

In a toss of confetti and celebration, in the midst of his father's obvious delight, Louis became a dashing little boy.

He was exceptionally skilled, soon he had a better understanding of mechanical engineering than anyone else in the household.

Since I had satisfied my desire to start a family, I was working towards having quite a bit of sex. I found that sex with just Russell was no longer as satisfying as the idea of sex with Russell and other people. Russell agreed. It was during my experimental forays that I briefly became a vampire.

It was a thrilling sensation, but it was completely incompatible with my desires for rock stardom.

While I enjoyed the animalistic feeling of a good BLEH...

I felt compelled, for the sake of my career, to purchase a vial of vampricillian for the local gypsy, who seemed herself immortal.

Before I drank the concoction, I took advantage of my heightened senses for a delightful romp with Contessa Amelia. She showed me a number of things that I had heretofore only dreamed of.

Before my very eyes Louis had become quite grown, ready to start his school career and quite dashing.

Not to mention excessively clever. His skillz with the synthesizer were surreal.

As a rock god, I was not surprised by his inclination to creativity.

His childhood passed quickly in a whirl of bathroom smustling with his schoolchums and dedicated booklearning.

In spite of my inherent sex appeal, I had somehow raised a nerd. Perhaps I was not paying enough attention.
To his credit, he seems to be very happy with his nose in a book.

--------------------------------------------------

Hm. I've been playing this legacy so fast, eee! It makes such a huge difference to only let them have one baby and let them marry whoever they first meet and have 2 - 3 bolts with.

Colette and Russell, both romance sims, have 3 bolts, and Colette's secondary aspiration is family, so I thought she would probably like to get married. ACR keeps them from caring about the extramarital affairs and so they both romp about as they please and are very happy with the arrangement.

I was thrilled when Louis rolled knowledge because he was an intensely obsessed skill builder as a child. He was rolling wants to max out skills and stuff, which I have never had a child do before. I'll try to include his stats and stuff next update.

I haven't taken very many pictures, but I'm quite pleased with how this legacy is going (one update per generation once a week or so) and with only one child per generation, not attending college, I can actually play through to the next generation in ONE DAY. Which is awesome and frightening to me. It'd be hilarious if I officially finished this legacy before I officially finish the Minkstole Legacy (which is on the 10th generation, but I plan on playing the heir through college to adulthood, and there are a lot of household members and the neighborhood is borked.)

This is part of the [info]legacy_writers founder challenge 2, Madeline was created by [info]simrenity.

The bump on Russel's nose is hot. It looks gnawable. That he passed it to Louis is double love.

I am not brave enough to only have the one baby per generation, I get paranoid about something happening to them (despite the fact that only 2% of all my sim deaths have not been old age related).

Lol @ a good BLEH. I wonder if it causes tingles.

Yes! I was quite pleased with Russell's nose and the fact that he passed it on. :D

I was a little afraid to have one baby per generation, but I decided if worse came to worse, I would cheat to bring the heir back to life, though I really, really don't expect that I'll need to.

Thanks for reading! xo
